AEP6

SMALL INVESTMENTS.
BIG RETURNS.
THE ARTS MEAN BUSINESS.

The arts bring us inspiration and joy and make our communities beautiful places to live and work. But the arts do so much more.

Economic impact studies like the Arts & Economic Prosperity 6 (AEP6) will create an expanded view of the arts and how they contribute to a thriving economy. While most appreciate the cultural benefit provided to our community, few realize that our local arts industry supports jobs, generates government revenue, and is a cornerstone of tourism. Check out the remarkable results from the previous AEP series in the featured video!

You may see local arts organizations participating over the coming months. They’ll be collecting surveys from attendees at arts events throughout Johnson County from May 2022 through April 2023. The list of participating nonprofits is growing every day and includes The Iowa City Downtown District, City of Hills, Coralville Center for Performing Arts, City of North Liberty, Riverside Theatre, The Englert Theatre, and many more.
