Intimate at the Englert: I Hear IC

Downtown Iowa City’s grandest performing arts venue has also just become one of its smallest, most intimate rooms. Intimate at the Englert Series (approx. 75-100 audience members) features both the audience and the performers onstage together: the connection between artist and audience will be direct and electrifying. The cozy atmosphere of this series allows for performances by the exciting new talent being developed in Iowa City everyday: musicians, writers, actors, and more.

I Hear IC
Graduate students at the University of Iowa’s School of Music collaborate with local musicians to present short compositions ranging from the avant-garde to ambient to electronic-pop. Each installment of I Hear IC has a conceptual theme.
