JEFF TWEEDY
FRIDAY, 9/5 — As the founding member and leader of the ground-breaking American rock band Wilco and co-founder of the alt-country band Uncle Tupelo, Jeff Tweedy is one of contemporary American music’s most accomplished songwriters, musicians and performers. Since starting Wilco in 1994 Tweedy has written original songs for seven Wilco albums, sold millions of records worldwide, won two Grammy Awards, and earned rave reviews from critics and fans alike.
JOY OLADOKUN
SATURDAY, 9/6 — Acclaimed singer, songwriter and producer Joy Oladokun has been hailed by Rolling Stone as “Nashville’s most low-key musical revolutionary” and widely celebrated for her uniquely vulnerable voice. A proud queer Black artist and daughter of Nigerian immigrants, Oladokun has graced prestigious stages across the world and collaborated with some of the industry’s biggest artists like Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlle, and Noah Kahan.
LOUDON WAINWRIGHT III
SATURDAY, 9/6 — Born in Chapel Hill, N.C. in 1946, Loudon Wainwright III came to fame when “Dead Skunk” became a Top 20 hit in 1972. He had studied acting at Carnegie-Mellon University, but dropped out to partake in the Summer of Love in San Francisco, and wrote his first song in 1968. His songs have since been recorded by Bonnie Raitt, Johnny Cash, Earl Scruggs, Kate & Anna McGarrigle, his son Rufus Wainwright, and Mose Allison, among others. Wainwright has recorded 27 albums, including his 2009 Grammy Award-winning High Wide & Handsome.
COURTNEY MARIE ANDREWS
SATURDAY, 9/6 — Courtney Marie Andrews is a singer-songwriter, painter, and poet, joining ICSF as the festival’s first Artist-in-Residence. Hailed for her ethereal vocals and talent on both guitar and piano, she won critical acclaim for her 2016 album Honest Life. In 2020, her “mournful and cathartic” release Old Flowers earned a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album,
