Sierra Frost Joins The Englert Theatre As Membership Coordinator

Posted on July 29, 2024 by Juicebox Administrator

The Englert welcomes Sierra Frost as the new Membership Coordinator following the position’s vacancy earlier this Spring.  Sierra holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Iowa, where they majored in Political Science, Art, and Spanish. They have a lifelong passion for uplifting the Iowa City community, starting from their high school years at West High School, where they volunteered yearly for the Jazz and Summer of the Arts festivals.

Their academic journey laid a robust foundation for their subsequent roles, including service with AmeriCorps NCCC. During their tenure, Sierra focused on fire mitigation efforts in Yosemite National Park and provided essential tax preparation assistance to low-income individuals in Orange, California.

Sierra furthered their commitment to community empowerment through Teach for America, serving in Pueblo, Colorado, and Chicago. Their experience in education and community engagement underscores their passion for fostering meaningful connections and driving positive change. Returning to Iowa City, Sierra worked at Wright Fashion House, a local nonprofit that inspires and engages youth in collaborative partnerships within the fashion design community, before accepting their role as the Membership Coordinator at The Englert Theatre.

“I am thrilled to join The Englert Theatre, a cornerstone of cultural vitality in our community.”

Sierra Frost commented. “I look forward to collaborating with our members and community partners to cultivate a vibrant and inclusive theater experience that resonates with audiences of all backgrounds.”

“Sierra Frost is a breath of fresh air for our Development team and The Englert as a whole. They have an impressive track record of quickly integrating into communities by volunteering, teaching, and working with local nonprofits,” says Paige Samek, Senior Development Manager of The Englert Theatre. “Their drive to fully commit to their town is inspiring, and I’m thankful to be working alongside them.”

This past Spring, Sierra relocated to Iowa City with their cat, Tony Soprano, and their partner.  In their free time, Sierra can be found with the cutest nails while playing Dungeons & Dragons.
