The Englert Announces Paige Samek Development Director

IOWA CITY, IA February 6, 2026 – The Englert is thrilled to announce Paige Samek as its new Development Director. After serving two years as Senior Development Manager, our team is excited to see her flourish in this new chapter. Since joining the team in December of 2023 Paige has kickstarted new fundraising programs and fostered meaningful sponsorships. Her impact continues to help our organization keep art at the heart of Iowa City.

Donations to The Englert have increased by 40% and sponsorships have increased by 60% since she started at the organization. Paige’s creativity is irreplaceable and her attention to detail with every fundraising event showcases that. From bingo on our stage to The Englert Ball she transforms our venue into a welcoming, colorful, and community-centered space. Paige’s radiant personality is seen across communications, our social media channels, and present at events from curtain talks to conversations in our lobby. She is often the first to get excited about a confirmed show and is constantly thinking of new ways to engage our audience, sponsors, and members with the artists coming to our town.
