The Social aims to encourage conversation and create a gathering space for members of the disability community. This event takes place before the first film of the Iowa Disability Film Festival hosted by FilmScene. Thank you to local advocate, Talya Miller, for co-organizing this event. This event is free and open to the public.

You can expect: light beverages and pastries for attendees, crafts and affirmation cards, and an intimate DJ set donated by Blind Soul Productions.

Event will be held in the cafe area of the second floor of the Chauncey Building from 4pm to 6pm. Parking is available in the Chauncey Swan Ramp. The third level leads directly to the second floor cafe area. There are elevators accessible on each floor.
