On Sunday, November 12, at 3 p.m. the Englert Theatre will host the fall concert of the Family Folk Machine, Iowa City’s intergenerational folk choir. Homegrown Harmony is the culmination of our 10th anniversary celebrations, and we are very pleased to present the world premieres of six original songs created in a special anniversary songwriting project last spring. We’ll round out the program with some favorite songs from our ten-year history along with a couple new ones that reflect what the FFM is all about. Join us for an afternoon of fun, beauty, poignant memories, and prophetic messages as we look toward our next ten years. The concert is free and open to all, with donations gratefully accepted.
