Description

Join Girls on the Run of Eastern Iowa for our 7th Annual LUNAFEST. LUNAFEST is a traveling film festival, created by LUNA Bar, featuring award-winning short films by, for and about women. This season, the program of nine films – filled with exceptional stories of reflection, hope and humor – will travel to over 175 cities across the nation. Please Note: Films are not formally rated, however, some content is not appropriate for children. We recommend that viewers be age 16+. www.lunafest.org

The Girls on the Run program uses the power of running to help 3^rd through 8^th grade girls develop self-respect and value a healthy lifestyle. Girls in this after-school program focus on their development as a whole person – including physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being. Girls in schools throughout Johnson, Linn, Buchanan, Benton, Iowa, Washington and Jefferson Counties have the opportunity to become joyful, healthy, and confident because of you. www.girlsontheruniowa.org

All of the proceeds from the event stay locally with Girls on the Run. Doors open at 6:00 PM and films will begin screening at 7:00 PM. Enjoy appetizers, desserts, an online auction, raffle and a cash bar. Tickets are $40 through March 13 and $45 March 14-21 ($20 for students and GOTR coaches).
