Join us for a FREE community open house in celebration of the greatest small city for the arts. Hosted by FilmScene and The Englert Theatre, we are gathering a dozen local arts organizations, including UNESCO City of Lit, Witching Hour, Artifactory, Public Space One, Stanley Museum of Art, Iowa City Children’s Museum, Dream Center, FilmScene Animation Camp, Luchadores Immigrants in Iowa, Natural History Museum, Prompt Press, UI Libraries, for hands-on arts activities!
Of course, we also invite you and your family to take a tour of our new space—find your new favorite seats in our two large theaters, imagine the possibilities for our community microcinema, see where the magic happens in our projection booth, and meet our staff to talk movies.
It’s a celebration of art and community as we unveil the Midwest’s most modern cinema.
