The community gathers to remember James Alan McPherson, author and Professor Emeritus at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. There will be a service at Trinity Church (320 E. College St.) at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016, followed by a luncheon in the parish hall.
At 7 p.m., the Englert will host a remembrance memorial with many friends, writers, former students and community members. Of course, all are welcome! The event will include readings and an open mic for the community to share our thoughts and memories of James.
