Description
The Iowa City Book Festival welcomes Robert Reich, the U.S. Secretary of Labor in the Clinton Administration and Chancellor’s Professor of Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley. He will speak about his new book, Saving Capitalism: For the Many, Not the Few. Reich, whose career has gone from the sublime (Time Magazine named him one of the 10 most effective cabinet secretaries of the 20th century) to the ridiculous (“co-starring” with Conan O’Brien in a buddy cop movie skit) and back, is an engaging speaker who shines a light on economic disparity in The U.S., and proposes solutions. The event is free and open to the public.
