As the name would imply, Three Dawgs and a Bone intends to be musically creative and mischievous, playing jazz with a sense of camaraderie and a dash of humor. Plus…a trombone!! The group has played in many clubs and concert venues across the state of Iowa and beyond. 3D&B are Steve Grismore (guitar), Rich “the bone” Medd (trombone), Scotty Barnum (bass and sarcasm), and James Dreier (drums and percussion). They play originals as well as music by Ornette Coleman, Wayne Shorter, Thelonious Monk, Herbie Nichols, Steve Lacy, and more…
