Ross Clowser is a guitarist, composer, and music scholar from Des Moines. Frequently collaborating with poets, singers, and rappers, Ross has developed a unique compositional and improvisational voice inspired by beat production, avant-garde jazz, and international music. Currently pursuing his Master’s in Musicology from the University of Iowa, Ross’ work studying gender, race, and social justice in the music world has influenced his musical practice to be empathetic, sincere, and multi-dimensional. He will be releasing his first album of original music in the next year.
