Description

Iowa City’s Old Capitol Chorus presents united we SING!   An evening of a cappella harmony featuring the barbershop group in their 54th year.

Under the direction of Chad Clark, this community non profit group is made of men of all ages and backgrounds. They won the 2014 Central States District contest and entertained at the open house of Hancher auditorium. Also, tonight,  special guest quartet, Fleet Street, our own quartet A Seasoned Sound, and the University of Iowa co-ed a cappella group, UI Old Gold. An evening filled with vocal music. Plus presentation of the Big Wheel in the Arts award to recognize a member of the community who has contributed tirelessly to the performing arts. Past recipients are Dottie Ray, June Braverman, and Mary Cohen.
